How to Enter the Contest

Choose ONE of the three templates below and create a scene using it as a starting point. Clicking the Use Template button will open it in Dungeon Scrawl for you, thanks to a handy Share Link.

You may add or erase rooms, paths, walls, doors, and stairs, update the style of the map by using layer presets (and further customizing their lines, grids, colors, and more), and/or add images from the Library to bring your map to life from your imagination.

Once your map is made over, submit it using the form below by April 17, 2026 for a chance to win a prize.

Contest FAQs

  • Use Dungeon Scrawl to create a map based on one of our templates. Change it as much as you want, and remember: the design is completely up to you. We want to see your creativity at work! (One entry per person will be accepted, so pick the template you like most.)

  • One Grand Prize winner will win a year of Roll20 Elite Subscription for you or your GM. This includes a subscription to Dungeon Scrawl Pro. Two runners-up will receive a year each of Dungeon Scrawl Pro.

  • No. Anyone can use Dungeon Scrawl for free, including opening shared map links (to templates). Subscribers are welcome to participate and may use subscriber features in their maps.

  • Yes, although there is a vast library available within Dungeon Scrawl, you are more than welcome to utilize the upload functionality to include custom images, so long as you have the rights to them and/or you provide the required attribution to the owners. (If you don't know how to do that, best to stick to the images found in the software.)

  • No, we'd prefer to limit the scope to what can be created and exported from Dungeon Scrawl without post-processing to keep it a more even playing field.

  • Submit your entry by 11:59pm ET on April 17, 2026 using our Google Form (click here) - note: requires a free Google account for validation purposes.

  • Winners will be contacted and announced by April 24, 2026.

  • You retain ownership of your map, and Roll20 reserves the right to use it for promotional, advertising and other commercial uses. Please see Terms and Conditions for details!
